Description

Junior Lifeguard Training at Santa Monica High School Pool

This course equips participants ages 11-15 years with essential First Aid and Lifeguarding techniques. As students progress, they will enhance their swimming capabilities, becoming adept at handling emergencies and saving lives. The curriculum includes video tutorials, classroom sessions, and ample in-water practice.

Participants must meet the prerequisite skills below:

100 yards freestyle swim in 2 minutes or less
Treading water for 1 minute
Complete 50 yard back and breast stroke without stopping
Retrieve object from deep end and return to the surface

Refunds/Transfers – Refunds and transfer requests must be received within 24 hours of the start of a session and will only be accepted with a completed Transfer/Refund Request Form. This form can be found on our website. Each refund transaction is subject to a $15.00 fee, no exceptions.

The Junior Lifeguard Course will not be held on the following dates for the Summer Session:
