Description
Richard Goldenson, camp director and Santa Monica College tennis coach since 2001 has been teaching tennis for Santa Monica since 1996.
Focus on fundamentals, movement and biomechanics training just as we do in our year-round
Academy including emphasis on explosive starts so that the first step gets the player to the ball early so one can set and hit with balance and power.
CAMP LOCATION: Memorial Park - 14th Street between Colorado and Olympic Blvds.
REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.
REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.
CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.

Richard Goldenson And Staff
Richard Goldenson has been the Head Coach of the women's tennis team since 2001. In 2010 the team made SMC history winning the first outright conference title in 30 years with a perfect 10-0 record and a SMC, all-time high state ranking of #3. In 2010, Coach Goldenson was voted the Western State Conference "Coach of the Year." Coach Goldenson's players have gone on to play tennis at 4-year institutions at the NCAA Divisions I, II and III levels as well as highly ranked NAIA programs.
