Description

WEEK 6: Children will learn and practice Spanish while exploring different kinds of artistic expression from around the world.

Campers will have fun creating their own art projects, learning about mixing colors and textures, exploring art history, and discovering the beauty of classic art and its cultural background.


Youngest children must be potty trained. Children must bring their own snack, lunch, and water.



Material Fee: $50.00 to be paid to the Instructor on the First day of Class


Online registration is required. Walk-in registration is not available.

REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.

REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.

CANCELLED CLASSES: Makeups will not be offered for classes missed by the student. Programs are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.

Instructor

Diana Albarracin - LA Spanish School

Diana Albarracin is a native Spanish speaker raised in Boyaca, Colombia. She is an innovator in teaching Spanish as a second language, developer of curriculum and passionate about encouraging interest in younger children regarding the reading and writing acquisition learning process. She studied in the prestigious University Francisco Jose de Caldas Bogota, Colombia, and earned a degree equivalent to a Bachelor Degree in Art and Language in the United States. Diana has over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language in different schools in Los Angeles including charter schools, public progressive schools and private schools. She is passionate to see her new student's understanding and speaking Spanish as a second language.
