Description

This joyous class is a combo of fun ballet and tap for kids. Little dancers will love this body, mind and spirit experience where they will learn to twirl and jump their way to happiness!

Parent/Caregiver will be able to accompany any child needing support with joining the class.


Dress to dance: Ballet and tap shoes required

$10 material fee payable to the instructor at the first class.

Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in, and bring water. Tap shoes or sneakers are required for tap.


REFUNDS/TRANSFERS - A $15.00 processing fee applies for each activity session refunded. Refunds will be prorated. Refund/transfer requests must be emailed to the Community Classes & Camps office at community.classes@santamonica.gov. Refunds will be issued only if requested within one day after the first class meeting. Material fees are not discountable and are nonrefundable.

REFUNDS FOR DUPLICATE/MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS resulting from multiple registration submissions (at one or more offices or via online registration) will be subject to a $15.00 processing fee for each activity session refunded.

Makeups will not be offered for days missed by the student. All class dates, times, locations, and instructors are subject to change without notice.

Instructor

Sarah Marsh-Chiba

Sarah's effervescent spirit and joy of dance is contagious and she shares it with the children she works with every day. Sarah has been teaching ballet, tap and world dance with the City of Santa Monica for the past 15 years. She created World Groove from a desire to promote peace through community dance art and culture and since then the camp has become a well loved part of the summer in Santa Monica. Sarah is a certified preschool teacher who has a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and a Masters of Social Work from CSUN.
